    Our strength training programs are designed to fit your goals. We recognize the difference between those whose goals are to improve athletically and those whose goals are to improve functional living and to age well.  Our work is to set the benchmarks and mindset to achieve whatever it is you set out to accomplish. 

    Our strength training programs include barbell free weights, kettlebell training, dumbbells, resistance bands, and more. We offer massage, breathing, and recovery time before or after formal exercise routines.

  • Pilates and breathing work

    Our Pilates programs are designed to make you feel better so you can carry your day to activities with fearless intention, spontaneous zest and pleasure.

    The intention of the Pilates system is to achieve a natural and optimal range of human movement while keeping the spine, back, and abdominal muscles in perfect balance. The focus of proper joint mobility, balance, excellent posture, and core strength promotes a clear and focused mind and a condition where you are prepared and ready to do whatever you choose, running, swimming, sports, strength training, or just plain well-being, you name it, Pilates is a perfect maintenance program.

    We are always challenged in Pilates but never asked to push beyond our limits or towards pain. The exercises are a combination of bodyweight exercises blended with exercises performed on equipment called reformers. Every exercise in Pilates has a modified version and skills are built up before taking more complex exercises. Pilates is a progressive program that moves with the students' ability.

    Pilates is a great choice for people with chronic sports injuries, occupational injuries, and overuse injuries. Pilates can be used as a restorative practice to heal the body, sharpen the mind, calm the spirits and bring this closer to a natural and normal state of function.

    • Alleviate low back pain and make it a thing of the past.

    • Increase your flexibility, improve balance, breathing and posture.

    • Performed correctly, Pilates is also a great cardio workout. Lung capacity is improved with regular practice.

    • An excellent option for those that do not like weight-bearing exercise. All resistance in Pilates comes from body weight or spring weight equipped on the reformer machines.

    • Pilates can be modified towards the beginning student or tuned up for the advanced athlete or serious exercise junkie. There are more than 750 exercises in the Pilates repertoire. As instructors, it is our charge to select the right exercises for your personal fitness goals.

    Our skill-based programs are designed to improve balance, walking gait, core strength, flexibility, mobility, and general stamina. These foundations are the launching pad after physical therapy treatment and the bridge between injury and a return to functionality for sports and life.

    We believe developing a practice that incorporates mind, body, and spirit will manifest positively in your daily life. We also recognize the impact of trauma that manifests negatively in body image, self-esteem, chronic pain, and exercise adherence. Emotional trauma will manifest into the body, just as physical trauma can be expressed through the mind and emotion. Trauma is often the dominant and least understood factor that interferes with true well-being. Because of this, we respect the stressful impacts of trauma while encouraging and having trust in our human capacity to heal and overcome obstacles in the way of joy.
